Supporting Innovation at the University of Toronto
Testforce is proud to support the next generation of engineers by providing a Tektronix 2-Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope to the University of Toronto Formula Racing Team. This advanced tool has proven to be instrumental in enhancing the team’s electrical testing capabilities, helping them push boundaries.

Nicholas Burley University of Toronto Formula Racing Team Electrical Technical Director shares how “earlier this year, we had the opportunity to improve our electrical testing through a partnership with Testforce. The Tektronix 2-Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope they graciously provided our team has been a valuable addition to our electrical toolkit, streamlining the process of debugging PCBs and circuitry used on the car. We are deeply appreciative for the opportunity to use this invaluable tool!”
The team highlighted several key benefits of the 2-Series Oscilloscope:
- Intuitive User Interface: The minimalist and responsive controls make signal scaling, trigger setting, and signal capture effortless.
- Touchscreen Functionality: With just a few taps, users can perform mathematical transformations, analyze signals, and run calibration and self-test procedures.
- Four-Channel Measurement Capability: This feature has been pivotal for monitoring SPI messages, ripple currents from switching converters, and ISO SPI bus messages, particularly during the bench setup of a prototype battery management system.
Testforce is thrilled to play a role in empowering the University of Toronto Formula Racing Team as they continue to innovate and face engineering challenges. Together, we’re driving forward the future of technology and education.
